Tavex’s main goal is to offer customers the best price and the broadest range of both gold/silver and currencies.
Tavex is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tavex Group – the largest player in the sale and purchase of physical investment gold/silver in the North European market. Our other major business line is the sale and purchase (exchange) of the broad range of currencies both physical and electronic.

It is important to notice that Tavex Group including all subsidiaries is debt free. We operate only with our own capital.
We work closely with Financial Supervisory Authorities in every country as well as Financial Intelligence Units in the prevention of money laundering. Tavex Group is audited every year by KPMG.
Tavex has direct contracts with some of the world's biggest investment gold factories like:
• The Perth Mint in Australia, which produces both coins and bars
• China Great Wall Coins Investments Ltd - Chinese gold coin producer
• PAMP Suisse - Swiss gold bar producer
• Valcambi - Swiss gold bar producer
• Austrian Mint - Austrian gold coin producer
In addition to the mentioned factories, Tavex has also good relations with several investment gold wholesalers in different parts of the world.
Tavex was founded 1991 by Alar Tamming, who is the single owner of the company. As of the end of Q3 2010, Tavex has 15 offices in 6 different countries, total assets of EUR 19 126 298 and shareholders equity of EUR 18 034 660.
In 1996 Tavex founded its first overseas branch in Finland, followed by Latvia in 2002 by Sweden in 2005 by Bulgaria in 2009 and last but not least Denmark in 2010.
